Las Vegas or Bust!
So this post is way overdue, and a lot of you already know, but our little family is moving to LAS VEGAS. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it which isn't too good since our first big change comes Monday. We aren't quite sure when our whole family will be permanently living there, but the house is on the market and we're praying we sell it really soon. In the mean time I'm preparing myself for only 2 seasons (good-bye fall leaves), no snow in the winter (Brandon will be visiting Utah to ski when he can), and hot, hot summers (I'll be visiting Utah with the kids to escape the heat). Wish us luck!

Soccer Star
Watch out female soccer stars here comes Brylie Harward! This little Pink Princess (yes the girls chose the name) may be small but she has spirit!
Brylie played in her first ever soccer game Saturday. She has been waiting to play all summer and is thrilled her uniform is pink. (She wouldn't take it off all day Saturday.) She is the smallest and youngest on her team but she runs right along with them and kicks the ball when she can. She had a blast and can't wait for her next game. Anyone who wants to come watch her play let me know and I'll get you the times. This season is going to be sooo fun!!

Funny Boy
This is more for my "journal". Last night we were at Chick-fil-A for their kids eat free night. Beckam didn't want to eat his chicken but he wanted an ice cream cone. We kept telling him his chicken had to be all gone to get ice cream. Well our bright little guy then took the two pieces of chicken out of the box and held up the box saying, "All gone." The box was empty so that meant the chicken was all gone. Brandon and I couldn't help but laugh and laugh a lot. We're soooo in trouble!

Summer Family Trip - Final
The next day was our last day in San Diego and Beckam's birthday. We were thinking of taking a harbor tour, but as we walked by the USS Midway and saw all the airplanes we knew that was where we needed to take Beckam for his Birthday. Beckam loves airplanes and helicopters. When ever he hears one he searches the sky until he finds it and then points it out to whoever is near. In fact as we were driving to the harbor we passed the airport. Beckam was in plane heaven. We could have parked there and he would have been perfectly happy, but I think the USS Midway was better and Beckam actually got to sit and explore planes there.
(I'm thinking of having on of these installed in my next house. Just a nice little place to keep the kids when I need a break.)
Thanks family for giving up the boat ride to indulge my little boy. Beckam had a great birthday! The whole trip was great and a nice way to end the summer. Since we've been back Brylie has pretended she is a dolphin trainer and constantly says she wants to go back. Beckam thinks anything that is big and swims is Shamu and don't try to tell him differently. And his toy airplane from the USS Midway is a new favorite. I would say the trip was a big success!
Summer Family Trip - Continued
We started our second day at Sea World by going to the dolphin show again. I was really glad we did because this time they brought out pilot whales which they hadn't done the day before. It was even better that my family was there and the kids had extra people to hang out with. (I think they were getting a little tired of just mom and dad.)
We did go back to everything we saw the day before but you wouldn't have know from the kids' reactions. Everything was a favorite! We also got to make it to a few things we hadn't seen the day before like the penguins and the sea lion show. (I was too busy holding kids or pointing things out to take pictures of those things. Sometimes the camera just needs to be put away.)
(We tried to pet the dolphins, but they didn't cooperate, so we attempted a family picture.)
(This is where Beckam spent most of the time, riding on daddy's shoulders.)
We saved the Shamu show until the night show since after the last Shamu show they did fireworks. I actually liked the night show better then the day show. The kids were troopers and didn't fall asleep until we were in the car. It was a great day and we really loved having my family along and the kids loved hanging out with them. (Beckam can now say Lindsday and Shelby...well kind of, we know what he's saying.)
Summer Family Trip
This summer's family trip took us to Sea World. Sea World's deal of adults pay kids price and get a second day free was just too good to pass up and I knew the kids would love it. We, I know we're crazy, drove to San Diego. It does help having family in Las Vegas where we stopped for one night going down and one night going back. I don't think we would have survived without those stops. We spent our first day in San Diego at Sea World and the kids loved it. We started out at the tide pool where the kids got to touch star fish and whatever else they could reach. Beckam just liked sticking his hand in the water, but Brylie was really into it and mesmerized by everything. We say tons of fish, sea turtles, and sharks. Brylie kept asking to see the sharks and she wasn't disappointed. At the shark exhibit is where Beckam really got into seeing all of the animals, fish, etc. (Sorry no pictures of the sharks, there was no room and kids had to be held to see stuff.)
During the afternoon we saw the Shamu show. I think that was the favorite thing for the day. The kids loved it and Beckam wouldn't stop saying Shamu. Another hit for Beckam was the walrus in the polar exhibit. He just sat and watched the walrus swim around. He would have stayed longer if we would have let him.
(Beckam with his Shamu hat. This is the first hat he's actually left on. He wants to wear it all the time now.)
(The best picture of Beckam with "Shamu")
After the polar exhibit we needed the kids to let off some energy so we headed over to the Sesame Street themed kids play area. Brandon was trooper and took the kids up in the rope climb area. I don't know how he got the kids to finally come out. They went on one of the rides and then Brylie wanted to see the characters that were taking pictures. Beckam kept saying he wanted to see Elmo but when it came time, he wanted nothing to do with any of the characters. He held on to Brandon for dear life while we were around them.We finished off our day by feeding the bat rays and making promises to the kids to do it all again and more the next day.
Then it was back to the hotel to order a pizza and rest up for the next day at Sea World this time with my parents and sisters included.
