Soccer Season #1 complete
A couple of weeks ago Brylie played in the last game for this soccer season. We can only hope she's lucky enough to wear pink again next season. It turned out to be quite the coveted color of the U6 girls group. She has really enjoyed playing soccer and by the end was actually trying to take the ball at times rather then just running after it and waiting for it to come to her.
Boy is she proud of her trophy!! She has it proudly displayed in her room and even took it to preschool for show and tell. The beginning of next season can't get here soon enough!

Mother's Day Present
So on Mother's Day I was feeling a little under the weather. I guess Beckam wanted to help remedy that, so he left a little present for me to find when I came down stairs.

He gave himself a little haircut!!

Luckily he didn't cut it too short and he has curly hair so I could blend it in when needed. Brylie has never cut her own hair, so this is a new thing. Oh boy I don't know what I'm going to do with him.

She's FIVE!!!
And nothing but salad with no dressing and extra cucumbers would do for her birthday dinner. And instead of cake she wanted daddy's special brownies.
The following Saturday was Brylie's Alladin's Carnival Birthday party. She invited quite a few friends. The wind died down long enough to get everything set up, kicked back up during the party and then went away in time to take everything down, but at least it was sunny!! (And can I say again how much I love our back area.)
The carnival was complete with games under tents, bounce houses, face painting, a balloon guy and of course popcorn and cotton candy.
Once everyone played the games and filled their bags with prizes it was time for decorating cupcakes and presents.
Every moment of planning and chaos was worth giving Brylie her special days! Five is going to be a great year for her. She is getting bigger and more mature every day and brings so much joy to our family.
Some fun facts about Brylie:
- She loves, loves, loves to play with friends
- She loves to dance to Radio Disney playing on her Hello Kitty cd player
- She plays on the computer for hours every day
- She is a great big sister and plays with Beckam
- She loves to draw and write stories, give her a notebook and it will be full within a couple of days
- She has a very tender heart
- She likes to help do things around the house
- She tries to be good everyday and it's hard for her when she isn't
- She knows what mom's dance party song is and likes to dance with mommy in the car when it comes on
- She likes to be going, going, going
We love Brylie so much and can't wait for many more years with her. Happy Birthday!!!

St. Patty's with the Jazz
Thanks for the free jazz tickets Christmas sing-along. We had a blast at the game!!!
And Brylie loves her new Jazz jersey.
She even wore it to preschool the next day and now roots for Korver whenever a game is on.
I see going to more Jazz games in our future.

Fun Daddy and Kids time
I don't know how it happened, but Brylie only asks Brandon to paint her fingernails and toe nails. So this last time Brylie got her fingernails painted, Beckam wanted his done to. Thank goodness I had some blue fingernail polish lying around. And Beckam would only let Brandon paint them.
Brylie is still wearing what is left of her nail polish. Beckam on the other hand wanted his off the next day.

First Trip to Dentist
Beckam finally had his first official trip to the dentist. I'd been putting it off for awhile because I was dreading the fight I would have with him. It turns out I had put if off for nothing. Beckam was a great patient and did everything they asked. (It helped that Brylie went first so Beckam could see everything that he would be doing.)
And being able to watch Bolt helped while they were cleaning and counting his teeth.
Beckam was happy to finally get out of the chair and I was glad there were no issues or cavities. He also told anyone who would listen that he went to the dentist.
Here's hoping that he's as cooperative in six months.

They heart Skiing
Last Saturday we finally got both kids up skiing. This was Brylie's second time and she sure thought she was a pro. She didn't want Brandon to hold on to her at all. Lucky for both her and Brandon we had a harness with leashes so she felt like she was doing it on her own without Brandon loosing total control.
After Brylie's second run Beckam had had enough of waiting so Brandon took him down once on his shoulders. (Once was enough for Brandon.)
It was Brylie's turn again after that and she did really well. She laughed the first time she fell and had a case of the giggles after that. By the end she was even turning a little on her own.
Beckam finally got his turn on skis and had a blast.
And no ski day is complete without a trip to the lodge to warm up with hot chocolate and french fries.
The kids loved skiing and keep asking to go again. I know it's music to Brandon's ears. Once they kids are a little older he'll finally have someone in our family to go skiing with.
